Starta Development - Starta Optimized

Starta Optimized offers optional enhanced functionality, but is not required for use of the Starta Enterprise System. If you are new to the system, it is generally reccommended that you start with the web version of the system (click "Log In" on the menu to the left).

Install Starta Optimized

STEP 1: Install Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
INCOMPLETE Your version of Internet Explorer does not meet the minimum requirements. Please click here to download and install Internet Explorer 6.0 (481 KB) before continuing.
NOTE: If you have IE 5.5 or later installed, but are running another browser, you may proceed to Step 2.

STEP 2: Install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher
INCOMPLETE Your version of the Microsoft .NET Framework does not appear to meet the minimum requirements. Please click here to download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 before continuing (22.4 MB).
NOTE: If you have vrsion 2.0 or higher of the .NET framework installed, but are running a browser other than Internet Explorer, we may not be able to detect this. If you think you have the .NET Framework 2.0 or higher installed, you can proceed to Step 3.

STEP 3: Run Starta Optimized Setup
Please click here to download the Starta Optimized Setup program (81 KB), which will guide you through the rest of the setup process.

Optional Components

The Starta Office Plugin allows you to "Send To Starta" from Word/Excel 2000 or greater (3.7 MB).

Office 2003 Users need to install this hotfix from Microsoft to use the Starta Office Plugin (299 KB).

About Starta Optimized

Starta Optimized is a windows program written in Microsoft C# .NET. See the bottom of this page for system requirements. Starta Optimized can be used in place of a web browser to access the Starta Enterprise System, and also adds new functionality that is not possible using web pages alone.

Setup program shows an error message when run

Verify that you have the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher installed.

Verify that you are running the program from your local hard drive - running it from a network or shared drive will not work.

Internet Explorer shows an error message or crashes when the setup program download link is clicked.

Right-click the link and choose "Save Target As..", and run the program from your local computer.

Supported Operating Systems

Windows NT 4.0 must have Serivce Pack 6a installed.
